Prost!

This past weekend, Dates, John Paul, Kristin, Jeff and I went to Munich, Germany for Oktoberfest! Wow! What an experience. We had good beer, ate good food and made friends with some really nice German people. I've never really been to anything like it- I highly recommend going if you ever get the chance! Unfortunately, my camera died after the second day, but here are some pictures I did take:

There were a few 'stag parties' on our flight from London to Munich. One group were all dressed as flight attendants and took turns helping the real flight crew during the flight.

The main tents only serve liters of beer.

Day #2!
We were able to find a table in this beer garden. We shared a table with a really fun group of Germans. There was a lot of 'prosting', toasting and singing going on!

Texas vs Ole Miss

I went home to Texas at the beginning of September for 10 days. I was able to celebrate my mom's birthday, tailgate and go to a game in Austin and catch up with friends. The second weekend I was home, we went to Memphis, Tennessee and Oxford, Mississippi for the Texas vs. Ole Miss football game. It was one of the most fun weekends! We spent some time on Beale Street in Memphis, visited Graceland, travelled to Oxford on a huge charter bus and topped it all off with a Longhorn win!

Jules and Brodie visit!

In August, Julia and Brod came over for a week. Jules came on a Saturday and Brod joined us that Tuesday. We had such a great time! We visited the Notting Hill Carnival, had lunch at Harrods, went to the National Gallery, had some wine at Gordon's Wine Bar, did a wine tasting, ate yummy food at Borough Market, went to tea, rode the London Eye, went to Greenwich, Abbey Road, Portobello Market and went on a Thames River sunset cruise complete with champagne! It was a wonderful week! Here are a few picture highlights:
