Opa!

We just spent 5 days in paradise, aka Kos, Greece! Kos is a small Greek island-only about 25 miles by 5 miles. The island is split in half by a small mountain range- we had a view of the mountains on one side of the resort and the sea on the other. There are only a few flights in and out from limited locations. I'm pretty sure we were the only Americans at our resort. and we enjoyed trying to communicate with the many Italians, Germans and Russians there. It is such a beautiful island and we had a great time. We stayed at an all inclusive resort right on the beach. We spent our time laying by the beach, hanging out by the pool, renting 4 wheelers to explore the island and of course, eating and drinking a lot!

Here are some pictures from the trip...I took so many pictures of the scenery because it was so beautiful- these pictures just don't do it justice!

There was an 'animation team' at the resort that came out to the pool every few hours to entertain. Sorta felt like we were on a cruise ship at times.

Not a bad way to spend the day!

We went in to the nearest town, Kardamena, on our second night and enjoyed some Mythos beer.

I made a sweet, one-eyed friend at one of the bars.

The water was so clear and smooth.

Dates rented a four wheeler from the resort and went exploring one day, while I  stayed on the beach. He drove over the mountain to check out the other side of the island.

He picked me up later in the day and we rode in to Kardamena. That's part of our resort on the far left.

There was a Music Quiz at the main bar one night, and we won! We were rewarded with a bottle of champagne and a medal. (We may have had a slight advantage since most of the music was American music, and we were the only Americans participating...)

Some clouds over the mountains on our last morning.

We rented a four wheeler again on our last day and went over the mountain to have lunch in Kos Town. Like I said before, I kept taking pictures and none of them turned out as beautiful as it is in person.

Kos Town is only about 2 miles from Turkey, and they have boats you can take back and forth.
