Random Summer Happenings

Here are some random pictures of what we have been up to this summer when we have not had visitors:

Fourth of July!
We went to an American style burger place on the Fourth of July. Helene left this message for us on the ice machine.
Legit burgers!

We went to see Lady Antebellum!

Great show!
There was a lot of soccer watching during the Euro Cup. The Constitution was all decked out for England.
This pretty much sums up the summer over here in London!!

We are headed home to Texas for two weeks tomorrow!! We have so much planned while we are there and can't wait to eat some Mexican food, relax on the beach, enjoy the sunshine and see our friends and family!

Alexis, Michael, Crawfish and Prague!

The day after Lindsey and Justin left, Alexis and Michael arrived! They were in London Friday-Sunday. They went to Venice and Croatia and we met them in Prague the next weekend. While they were here we: took The Skalka Walking Tour, had a crawfish boil in our living room, won second place in the pub quiz, explored The Jewish Quarter in Prague, the Prague Castle, ate a lot of sausage and potatoes in Prague, visited a little Czech neighborhood called Skalka, had tea at the Portrait Museum and a lot of exploring! Here's their visit in pictures-mostly of the Prague portion of the trip...

The picture on the right is of Sue on a trip to Prague a while ago. We were on our way to the castle and just happened to walk by the exact spot she took this picture. So happy we stopped to take a picture of Dates by it!

There is a neighborhood in Prague called Skalka, so of course we had to go check it out!

Next stop: Skalka!

Inside the Skalka metro station

Skalka was a pretty quiet place. There was not much to see other than a few bars and small casinos.

Casino

We all lost some of our monies in the casino.

See ya, Skalka!

Our hotel tucked in our pajamas when they made the bed. (And yes, I sleep in a Taylor High School t-shirt.)

Zedenek (sitting next to Dates) works in the Stewart Title office in Prague. He was so generous and took us out for dinner Saturday night. After Michael, Alexis and I made wrong choices on our meal, he reordered some delicious Prague food for us. Such a nice man!

The Dubliner-a really fun bar!

Back in London! Olympic rings on Tower Bridge

This is out of order, but we finally found crawfish in London! We have been talking about crawfish to all of our pub friends for months, so when we finally found them we had to try to cook them. It was raining (of course) so we boiled them right on the stove in our kitchen. They turned out really good-and hot!

It was definitely a successful trip!
